Research
We need more knowledge and a better understanding of the processes of ageing, identities and life trajectories of the elderly, as well as how we develop better local communities, and better institutions of care and healthcare that can support a future society fit for ageing well.
In order to get there, we need to collaborate across scientific disciplines and across societal sectors such as professionals, politicians and civil society organisations. This is why the University of Copenhagen, together with the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the Faculty of the Humanities has provided the starting funds for building interdisciplinary collaboration and capacity and to begin the development of partnerships reaching beyond the university walls. This with a clear mission: that new solutions for ageing well in society must be developed together and in close collaboration between scientific and societal actors.
